Meat casserole with potatoes Khryun Vasily in the oven

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

Pass the meat through a meat grinder along with onions, bread soaked in milk, add chopped garlic, salt and pepper. You can season our minced meat with your favorite meat seasonings.
STEP 2

Peel the carrots and potatoes and boil until tender. Mash the potatoes, add salt, add butter and puree.
STEP 3

Beat the carrots in a blender or grate them on a fine grater.
STEP 4

Cut the mushrooms and onions into cubes and fry until golden brown.
STEP 5

Knead the flour, water and egg into a stiff dough. Make ears, snout and tail.
STEP 6

Place some of the minced meat on a baking tray lined with foil or baking paper, sprinkled with breadcrumbs. Layers of carrots and mushrooms on it.
STEP 7

Place a layer of mashed potatoes on top.
STEP 8

Place a layer of the remaining minced meat on top and form a neat oval.
STEP 9

Form a piglet, insert ears, snout and tail. For the eyes and nostrils I used black allspice and black peppercorns.
STEP 10

Brush our Vasily with beaten egg and bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 1 hour. Our Vasily is ready!
