  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake chicken rolls with mushrooms and cheese in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients. You can use ready-made portioned skinless fillets. If you have a whole breast on the bone, then you need to separate the fillet from it and remove the skin.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the chicken fillet in running water and dry. On each fillet in the middle, make a deep cut, not reaching the end, and open it like a book.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Cover the fillet with cling film or a plastic bag and beat it with a hammer into a layer about 5 mm thick, trying not to break the integrity - there should be no holes in the resulting layer through which meat juice can flow out or the filling can fall out. It is very convenient to use a rolling pin instead of a hammer.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Season the fillet with salt, pepper, sprinkle with chicken spices and leave for 20-30 minutes. You can use any spices to suit your taste.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

While the fillet is marinating, prepare the filling.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

If necessary, peel, wash, dry and cut the mushrooms into small thin slices.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Wash the bell pepper in running water, remove seeds and stems, and cut lengthwise into thin strips.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Take any cheese to your taste, the main thing is that it is natural, tasty, without adding vegetable fats.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Peel the garlic and finely chop it with a knife. Wash the greens in running water, dry and finely chop.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the mushrooms until golden brown. You can learn how to choose the right frying pan and oil for frying in this article. Links are at the end of the recipe.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Add garlic and herbs, salt and pepper. Mix everything. Remove the pan from the heat and cool the filling.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Remove the pan from the heat and cool the filling. To cool the mushrooms faster, it is better to transfer them to a bowl.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Add grated cheese to the cooled filling and stir.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

On each fillet, stepping back from the edges, evenly distribute the cheese and mushroom filling.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

Place 5-6 strips of bell pepper in the middle.

  16. STEP 16

    STEP 16

Roll each fillet into a tight roll. Form the rest of the chicken rolls in the same way. For reliability, you can tie the rolls with culinary thread.

  17. STEP 17

    STEP 17

Wrap each roll tightly in foil.

  18. STEP 18

    STEP 18

Place the rolls in a baking dish or on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Bake the chicken rolls in an oven preheated to 200°C for about 30-35 minutes. It’s better to bake in the “top-bottom” mode. If you wish, you can unfold the foil, grease the rolls with vegetable oil and bake on the grill until golden brown. Your baking time and temperature may vary. You can read more about this in the article. The link is at the end of the recipe .

  19. STEP 19

    STEP 19

Remove the finished chicken rolls with mushroom filling from the foil, cool slightly and cut into pieces. You can serve hot with a side dish or cold as an appetizer. Bon appetit!

It turns out so delicious! The first time I fiddled with it for a long time, I was afraid of missing something, of doing it wrong, but now everything is done quickly, so I will cook it more than once, thanks for the recipe

I just love the combination of chicken, mushrooms and cheese, the taste is wonderful. I used to just cook chops with mushrooms and cheese. Now you can try the roll, it’s a good alternative. The ingredients are very simple, no need to be fancy. You can also cook it instead of sausage, put it in the refrigerator and cut it off when needed. The roll is very tasty even when cold, and most importantly. no preservatives.

The chicken turns out tender and very tasty, and the filling with peppers, mushrooms and cheese gives an unusual taste and goes well with the tender chicken meat. Chicken rolls with mushrooms and cheese in the oven are just the perfect holiday dish. Thank you very much for the recipe!

I did it today. It turned out bomb. But I made some adjustments. I coated the battered fillet with tomato sauce (like satsibeli), and instead of chicken seasoning, I used Italian herbs. There were no champignons - replaced them with fried porcini mushrooms (cooked and frozen). Well, there were no bell peppers. I wanted to add sun-dried tomatoes, but I forgot. Plus for a side dish - baked potatoes.

I baked it without foil because it can’t go in my oven. I made some adjustments, laid out the filling a little differently and wrapped it in bacon. Yummy! Thanks for the recipe
