    Next, take the chicken, wash it thoroughly, and dry it with paper towels. I recommend using chilled poultry, but if you have a frozen product, then slowly defrost it by transferring it from the freezer to the refrigerator. This way the meat will be practically undamaged and will retain its juiciness.

    Coat the chicken with the resulting mayonnaise mixture, reserving a little sauce for mixing with the potatoes. Leave the chicken to marinate for 30 minutes (it can be longer if time allows, but in half an hour the meat will be sufficiently soaked).

    Wash the potatoes with a brush, peel and cut into large slices. Peel the onion and cut into rings or as you like. To avoid eye irritation, rinse the onion and knife with cold water before slicing.

I wanted to bake a chicken for dinner, whole and with a side dish). An excellent option was a whole chicken with potatoes in the oven with a crispy crust. The marinade is tasty, spicy, aromatic. The chicken was marinated in it for about an hour at room temperature. For the garnish, I cut the potatoes into large pieces and also added carrots in circles. Placed pickled vegetables on onion rings and chicken on top. I tied the legs of the chicken and wrapped the tips of the wings in foil. I built a lid of foil on top so that it did not touch the carcass. I baked all this beauty for an hour under foil and 40 minutes without it. The crust on the chicken was really crispy! At the same time, the meat became very tender, soft, and simply melted in the mouth). The vegetables were well browned and had a delicious golden brown crust! The dish is wonderful, I recommend it to everyone!
