  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make a layer pie with Adyghe cheese and herbs? Measure out the required ingredients. Puff pastry can be used either with or without yeast. Bryndza, feta or hard cheese are also suitable for filling. It is advisable that it is not too salty.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Grind the cheese on a coarse grater and place in a bowl of suitable size.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Wash the greens and dry well. Remove thick branches. Finely chop the greens. Alternatively, you can take green onions, cilantro or aromatic herbs.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

In a small bowl, beat the egg with a fork until smooth.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Combine shredded cheese with herbs, add about 2/3 of the beaten egg. Leave a little egg for brushing the top of the pie.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Mix everything well until all filling components are evenly distributed.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Roll half of the puff pastry into a layer about 0.5 cm thick.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Roll the dough onto a rolling pin and transfer to a sheet lined with parchment. If the quality of the parchment requires it, grease it with vegetable oil. Form the filling into a small ball and place it in the center of the rolled out dough. At a short distance from the center, place the rest of the filling in the shape of a circle 4-5 cm wide. To do this more evenly, you can first mark the contours with plates of suitable diameter.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Roll out the second half of the dough in the same way. Place the layer carefully on top of the filling, lightly press the dough along the contours of the filling.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Trim the dough around the circumference of the pie.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Press the edges of the dough to prevent the filling from leaking out during baking.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Without touching the central part, cut the pie around the circumference into equal segments.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Bend each segment a little, turning it on its side. Do it in one direction. Thus, the cut parts should lie in the shape of a fan so that the filling is visible.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Using a pastry brush, brush the top of the cake with the remaining beaten egg. If desired, the center of the pie can be sprinkled with flax, sesame, sunflower or poppy seeds.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 180-190C until golden brown, about 25 minutes. The baking mode may differ from that indicated, as it depends on the operating characteristics of the oven. The finished pie is about 25 cm in diameter.

  16. STEP 16

    STEP 16

You can serve the pie with cheese and herbs either warm or cooled. The edges of the pie can be easily divided into portions without cutting. Bon appetit!

The whole family loves this pie. Only I replaced parsley with cilantro and Adyghe cheese with Russian cheese. The proportions for greens were also greatly increased: 40g dill and 40g cilantro. An excellent recipe that will definitely be repeated)))

A very beautiful pie with Adyghe cheese and herbs made from puff pastry, but unfortunately my time was limited, since I made the puff pastry myself, so I made a simple pie shape. I always roll out the dough very thin, the thinner, the tastier. The baking time is accurate, my pie was also ready in 25 minutes at 180C. Delicious pie, I love baked goods with cheese, and in this pie the cheese complements the greens. Great combination.

Simple and tasty 🔥and very beautiful 👍 I was looking for a recipe to make with leftover Adyghe cheese. I had about 450 grams of Adyghe cheese, added 50 grams of ordinary Russian cheese on a grater (instead of sulguni in the recipe, to combine the Adyghe cheese, I was afraid that it would crumble), added a lot of finely chopped dill, a little dry Italian herbs, a little salt, just a little. Brush the top with egg and sprinkle with chia seeds. In the oven for 30 minutes at 180, and so handsome🌸Thank you for the recipe: clear, simple and tasty, and fast. My husband woke up this morning and had such a surprise for breakfast 🥐Yes, non-yeast puff pastry from the store. 🥪I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE!
