Beetroot with mayonnaise
Beetroot salad with mayonnaise can be considered one of the simplest holiday dishes of all the popular and beloved ones in Russia. In some variations, chopped garlic is added to it. In others there are also walnuts. In this form it has its own name - Red Moscow.
Most often, beets for salad are boiled in water until tender. But it can also be steamed or baked in the oven. Then it is grated on a coarse grater. To prevent your hands from getting dirty (beet juice is an excellent dye and lasts on the skin for a long time), it is better to use rubber gloves.
Mix a spoon or two of mayonnaise into the mixture. You don't need to add salt if there is enough salt in the sauce. Putting garlic or nuts is the choice of each housewife. Even in this simple form, the salad turns out quite tasty and fresh. With its help you can diversify the table.
