  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make a bright puff salad Lover's Kiss? Simple enough. To begin, prepare all the necessary ingredients according to the list. You can use beets boiled or baked in the oven. Stores sell ready-boiled beets in vacuum packaging. Using store-bought beets will save you cooking time.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Boil or bake the beets in their skins until tender, cool and peel. Grate on a fine grater. If the beets have a lot of juice, squeeze them out, otherwise your salad will run dry.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Peel the raw carrots and grate them on a fine grater. If the carrots have a lot of juice, also squeeze out excess moisture. You can use carrots not raw, but boiled or baked.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Grate the cheese on a fine grater. What cheese is suitable for this salad? Any - hard, semi-solid. The main thing is that it is tasty, of high quality, without milk fat substitutes. I have regular Russian cheese.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Wash dried apricots, prunes and dry. Cut dried apricots and prunes into small cubes. If dried fruits are hard, then steam them first. How to steam dried fruits correctly? Rinse them well, fill them with hot water and leave for 10-15 minutes. Then drain the water and dry the dried fruits with paper towels.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Rinse the raisins and dry. If your raisins are very dry and hard, steam them in the same way as dried apricots and prunes.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

    Finely chop the walnuts.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Peel the garlic and chop finely. You can use more garlic according to your taste.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

In a bowl, combine grated carrots, raisins and 1-2 tbsp. l. mayonnaise. If desired, add salt and pepper to the mixture and stir.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

In another bowl, mix grated cheese, dried apricots, garlic and 1-2 tbsp. l. mayonnaise.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

In a third bowl, combine grated beets, prunes and a little mayonnaise. Add salt and pepper if desired. Mix everything thoroughly.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

First place a layer of carrots and raisins in a cooking ring (Ø 14-16 cm) and smooth it out. Do not press too hard on the carrot layer, otherwise the juice will come out of it.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Spread a layer of cheese with dried apricots on top and compact it as well.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Then a layer of beets with prunes.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

Sprinkle chopped walnuts on top of the salad. If you wish, you can put the salad in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, but this is not necessary - after all, all the ingredients are grated on a fine grater and are already well soaked in mayonnaise. Moreover, you should not keep the salad in the refrigerator for a long time - vegetables can juice will come out and you will have to blot it with a napkin.

  16. STEP 16

    STEP 16

Remove the ring before serving. Decorate the salad as desired. I garnished with carrot slices, fresh herbs and nuts. Bon appetit!

I had some beets left and wanted to cook something interesting with them. I looked on the website for what can be made from beets, and out of all the recipes I liked the “Mistress’s Kiss” salad. First of all, of course, I was intrigued by the name. I didn’t use dried fruits, since no one in our family really likes them, especially in food. I didn't have any nuts. Instead of raisins, I added finely chopped dill to the grated carrots. Replaced the prunes with finely chopped green onions. I only added garlic to the grated cheese (I took Russian). I laid out the salad in layers without using a ring. The salad turned out very tasty. I would never have thought that beets would go so well with cheese. Juicy and appetizing, this salad can easily take center stage on the holiday table. I will definitely prepare this salad for the New Year’s table. Maria, thank you very much for the wonderful recipe!
