Toast with egg in a frying pan
You can make toast with eggs without milk or with it. In the first case, you will get French toast. They taste more tender and soft, since milk softens the bread. This method can be considered a classic recipe for toast with eggs. But milk is often not suitable for everyone, so you can do without it.
Beat a raw egg with a fork in a suitable bowl and salt to taste. Typically, one piece requires 4-6 small pieces of bread. But it depends on how thick and rich the croutons you want to get in the end. That is, you can keep them in the lezone a little longer - the egg mixture will be absorbed into the bread pulp, and the crust will be thicker.
Along with eggs for morning (and evening too) croutons, you can add grated cheese, vegetables, chopped herbs, sausage, ham, tomato paste, mayonnaise, sour cream, and the milk already mentioned above. This mixture perfectly holds together any products that are, as it were, “fried” into a piece of loaf. It turns out to be a very tasty, filling hot sandwich.
By the way, you can cook croutons with eggs not only in a frying pan, but also in the oven or slow cooker. Of course, their taste will be a little different, but you will definitely like it.
It is advisable to serve the egg toasts hot. Once they cool down, they are no longer as tasty. You can put two or three pieces on a separate plate for each eater. And put a gravy boat with sour or hot sauce. Any ketchup or sauce made with tomatoes and paste (for example, Georgian satsebeli) works well here. The result will be a simplified appetizer, but suitable for strong drinks. You can also rub the finished product with garlic - it will add a special charm and dull the taste of oil, if there is any there.
