STEP 1

How to make croutons from a loaf with an egg? Prepare the products according to the list. The bread for croutons can be fresh, or slightly dried; in addition, some people make croutons with black bread, with bran bread, etc. I will prepare the simplest croutons, but you can also make sweet ones, so you can use sugar to taste. Prepare a deep, wide bowl and frying pan.
STEP 2

Cut a loaf of white bread into slices 1 centimeter thick, I take the slices straight away. In a deep bowl, lightly beat the egg, add salt or sugar if you are making sweet croutons. Pour in the milk and mix everything.
STEP 3

Dip each slice of bread into the mixture until thoroughly coated.
STEP 4

Place the frying pan over medium heat, add the butter and wait until it melts completely.
STEP 5

Place slices of bread in the egg mixture on a frying pan heated with oil and fry until a yellow-golden crust forms, first on one side, then, carefully turning over, on the other side. The heat should be medium so that the bread does not quickly fry and the oil does not give off an unpleasant smell.
STEP 6

Serve the finished loaf croutons with egg and milk immediately. This is a separate dish. You can offer it with sausages, porridge, or simply add sugar, jam, or honey. Serve with hot tea or coffee. Bon appetit!
