STEP 1
How to fry croutons from a loaf with egg and milk in a frying pan? Break the egg into a small bowl and mix it a little with a whisk.
STEP 2
Add a little milk to the egg and mix until smooth using a whisk.
STEP 3
Cut the loaf into pieces approximately 1.5 centimeters thick. It is best to use yesterday's loaf so that it is a little weathered.
STEP 4
Dip the loaf pieces into the milk mixture on both sides so that they are well soaked but not soggy.
STEP 5
Pour a little vegetable oil into a hot frying pan and place the wet pieces of loaf. Fry them on one side for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
STEP 6
Then turn over and fry on the other side in the same way. The croutons cook very quickly, so don’t leave the stove and make sure they don’t burn.
STEP 7
Place paper napkins on the prepared plate. Remove the finished croutons from the pan and place them on a prepared napkin to remove excess fat. Immediately sprinkle the hot croutons with a small amount of sugar. Serve the finished croutons with a cup of hot tea. Bon appetit!
