Pork with pasta
Good news right out of the gate: you can use absolutely any pasta for this dish, from noodles or spaghetti to some tricky horns, bows, tubes, and so on. Depending on the shape and size of the pasta, the type of dish will depend. For example, large ones like conciglioni or cannelloni will need to be tightly packed together, either stewed in a pan or baked in a mold. In both cases, you can use both the stove and the slow cooker.
The simplest recipe for pork with pasta is to prepare the meat sauce and then serve it with freshly boiled pasta. To make the dish more rich and juicy, you can mix everything in a saucepan or frying pan, letting the mixture simmer for a few minutes on the fire. You can add a variety of products to the gravy: tomato paste, onions, carrots, zucchini, mushrooms, sour cream, cream, fresh herbs, tomatoes, bell peppers and so on.
By the way, it’s easy to turn stewed pork with pasta into a stunning-looking casserole if you bake the finished dish under a cheese crust in the oven. This will take at most five to ten minutes. You can also use minced meat instead of chopped meat. The result will be a dish popular in Soviet times: “naval-style pasta.”
To serve with pasta, the pork can be fried in larger, flat pieces a la steak on both sides. In this form, the dish harmonizes well with fresh vegetable salads, assorted greens, and all kinds of homemade marinades and pickles. If pasta is made from durum wheat, the dish can be attributed to a wholesome and healthy diet.
