  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

    Shred the cabbage thinly.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

If your cabbage is young, skip this step. If winter white, pour boiling water over the cabbage, cover and leave for 15 minutes. This will soften it, and it will finish cooking in the pie.

For the dough, break the eggs into a bowl.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

    Add sour cream.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add flour (it is better to sift, but not critical if you are in a hurry).

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

    Add baking powder.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

    Add salt.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

    Mix everything well.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

    The dough is ready.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Drain the cabbage and add finely chopped dill to it. You can take other greens, or several types of them.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Add salt and mix everything well with your hands. You can wrinkle it a little.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Grease the pie pan with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Spread the cabbage in an even layer. If there is a lot of juice, squeeze it out and leave it in a bowl.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Place the dough on top and spread evenly.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Sprinkle the pie with sesame seeds.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

Bake a quick pie with cabbage in a hurry for 30-40 minutes at 180 degrees, check the readiness in the middle with a knife or toothpick (skewer).

Thanks for the tip. I'll go bake this cabbage pie for dinner. There is also a recipe for jellied cabbage pie with kefir.

I whipped up a jellied cabbage pie for breakfast. It really cooks very quickly. In less than an hour, it was ready. On the author’s advice, I poured boiling water over the cabbage for 10 minutes to make it softer. From the greens in the filling, I chopped parsley, dill and green onions. For the test, I took thick 20% sour cream. It turned out quite thick, so I thinned the dough a little with kefir. So it’s probably better to use thinner sour cream. I baked the pie for 35 minutes at 180 degrees. The pie turned out delicious, tender, with a juicy and aromatic filling. Great option for a quick breakfast. Thank you very much for the recipe!
