Cabbage jellied pie with cabbage in a frying pan
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make a simple fried cabbage jellied pie with cabbage in a frying pan? Prepare the necessary products. In addition to cabbage, you can add onions, any herbs, peppers and spices to your liking. I used parsley because we don't like onions.
STEP 2
Finely chop the peeled and washed white cabbage.
STEP 3
Wash the fresh herbs, dry and finely chop. If you add onion, peel and cut it into thin half rings.
STEP 4
Place the cabbage and greens (and onions) in a bowl. Add salt, pepper and spices to taste. Mix the filling with your hand, lightly kneading the cabbage. This will make it softer. The filling is ready.
STEP 5
Break the eggs into another bowl. Add sugar, salt. Stir everything with a whisk.
STEP 6
Pour sour cream and milk into the egg mixture and stir until smooth.
STEP 7
Add baking powder to flour and mix. Read about all the nuances of working with soda in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. Pour the flour into the liquid egg part. Stir the dough until smooth. It should have the consistency of pancakes. If necessary, add a little more flour.
STEP 8
Heat the frying pan. I advise you not to use a pan that is too large; the cake will turn out too thin. I have 26 cm, better take less. Pour some vegetable oil on it. Read about how to choose the perfect frying pan, as well as how to choose the right vegetable oil, in separate articles, links at the end of the recipe. Place half of the dough with a spoon and distribute it evenly along the bottom.
STEP 9
Place all the filling on the dough.
STEP 10
Pour the remaining dough over the top of the filling and smooth it out with a spoon.
STEP 11
Cover the pan with a lid and turn the heat to low. Cook the pie for about 20 minutes. The exact time depends on the operating characteristics of your stove, as well as the selected frying pan.
STEP 12
Using a plate, turn the pie over to the other side. First tip it upside down onto a plate and then transfer it from the plate back into the pan.
STEP 13
Cook the pie for another 15 minutes on the other side, covered. The finished pie can be sprinkled with sesame seeds. Bon appetit!
