  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to fry potato pizza in a frying pan? First of all, prepare the ingredients for the filling. As with classic pizza, you can take any sausages, meat, pickles, olives, peppers. I chose bacon and mushrooms. I have red onions, but any onion will do - onions, leeks. Take either a couple of large tomatoes or several cherry tomatoes.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Cut the bacon into thin strips.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Wash the mushrooms carefully, then dry well with paper towels. Excess moisture will make them watery and not tasty. Cut the champignons into slices.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Peel the onion and cut into half rings.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Wash the tomatoes and cut them into large rings and cherry tomatoes into halves. Grate the cheese on a medium grater - this will melt it faster. Any cheese is suitable for this dish - hard, semi-hard, soft, such as mozzarella. The main thing is that it is tasty, of high quality, without milk fat substitutes and melts well.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Prepare ingredients for the base. For potatoes, take three large tubers or 4 medium ones, weighing approximately 500 grams. From this quantity I got one pizza in a frying pan with a diameter of 24 cm.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Next, make the potato pizza base. Wash and peel the potatoes, dry them with towels. Grate the tubers on a fine or medium grater. I chose medium, it turned out faster, and the base was perfectly fried.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

If you have very juicy potatoes, squeeze out the excess moisture and drain it. Beat the egg into the grated potatoes, add salt and pepper to taste, add flour. Be sure to wash your eggs before using them, as even seemingly clean shells can harbor harmful bacteria. It is best to use food grade detergents and a brush.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Mix the base batter until smooth. It will be medium thick.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add bacon. Fry it, stirring, for a couple of minutes. If there is not enough bacon fat, add a little vegetable oil. Add onion and mushrooms to bacon. Season the filling with salt, but don't overdo it—the bacon and cheese already contain salt. Stir and fry the filling for 5-7 minutes over high heat, until the liquid that the mushrooms release after adding salt has evaporated.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

At the same time, heat another frying pan. Pour some vegetable oil into it. Spread the potato dough in an even layer, covering the entire bottom. Fry the base over low heat for about 5 minutes. I covered the pan with a lid for a couple of minutes to ensure the potatoes were cooked through. When the base is well browned on the bottom, turn it over to the other side. To prevent the potato pancake from tearing, remove it to a plate and then return it to the pan, turning it over.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Place the prepared filling on top of the potato pancake, sprinkle it with spices to taste (I used oregano). Add chopped tomatoes. Sprinkle grated cheese on top.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Turn the heat to low, cover the pan and fry the pizza for a few more minutes until the cheese melts.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Serve the finished pizza right away - just like the classic one, it’s good hot. Bon appetit!

This thin potato pan pizza is best eaten fresh while it is fresh and warm, with melted cheese. You can add seasonings at your discretion: dried basil, oregano or “Pizza Seasoning”. Instead of fresh tomatoes, you can use ketchup or make homemade sauce from crushed tomatoes. It turned out very tasty, thank you!

A very unusual recipe for potato pizza in a frying pan. Nothing like this had ever even crossed my mind. And the ingredients are quite affordable. The photo makes me want to try it, which is exactly what I’m going to do. In general, a cookbook is a terribly convenient thing. You can add interesting recipes at work, and open and cook them at home, without fussing with papers. However, in my opinion, there is too much information on the site that is not related to recipes.
