    STEP 1

How to make delicious airy manna with kefir in the oven? Very simple! To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. Adjust the amount of sugar to your taste. Kefir is suitable with a fat content of 2.5 to 3.2%. The fattier the kefir, the tastier the manna will be. Kefir should be at room temperature, so remove it from the refrigerator in advance.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Combine room temperature kefir with eggs and stir until smooth.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour semolina into the kefir-egg mixture and mix thoroughly again. Leave the mass to swell for 40-50 minutes. The cereal should swell well. If you wish, you can punch the mass with a submersible blender so that the mixture turns out soft, tender, without grains of semolina.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add sugar, flour, soda and vanillin to the swollen semolina. Mix everything thoroughly until smooth. Vanillin can be replaced with 1 tbsp. l. vanilla sugar or 1 tsp. vanilla extract.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

The finished mass should be covered with a large number of small bubbles - this works in the baking soda after combining with kefir. Depending on the saturation of the yolks and the color of the semolina, the final mass can range in color from almost white to yellowish.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Line a baking pan with parchment and grease with vegetable oil. The diameter of my mold is 20 cm. Pour the dough into the mold. Bake the manna in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 40 minutes.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Manna can be served warm or completely cooled. Sprinkle the finished pie with powdered sugar and serve. Bon appetit!

For evening tea, my husband asked me to bake manna with kefir, puffed in the oven. What you won’t do for your loved one, mannik, is mannik. The author of the recipe has such mega-appetizing photographs that I couldn’t resist adding orange zest and a little orange juice to the dough. My pan is wider than the author’s; the cake turned out not so high. But sooooo fragrant and tasty! I love recipes like this: minimum effort and products, maximum pleasure. Thank you so much for the recipe!
