Homemade Big Burger

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make a homemade Big Burger? Prepare your food. I made the burger with a store-bought bun, but you can make your own. Minced meat can be made from any meat, I use beef, you can take chicken, pork, lamb, if you make a chickpea cutlet, you get a vegetarian burger. Same with vegetables - take any lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, herbs to taste. You can use any cheese, but it’s better to choose one that melts well.
STEP 2

Add salt and freshly ground black pepper to the minced meat; you don’t need to add anything else, especially onion. With it you will not get a burger, but a cutlet in dough. Knead well and form into a flat cake, slightly larger in diameter than the bun itself. When frying, the cutlet shrinks significantly.
STEP 3

Place the frying pan on the fire, heat the oil in it over high heat. Place the cutlet.
STEP 4

Fry the cutlet for 6-8 minutes, constantly turning over, for a minute on each side. It should be well browned.
STEP 5

At the last turning, add cheese to the meat and cover the pan with a lid. Wait for the cheese to melt. I used it already melted for cheeseburgers, so it took me quite a bit of time. If the cheese is hard, it will take more time.
STEP 6

Cut the bun in half. You can do this while your meat is roasting.
STEP 7

In a preheated frying pan without oil, lightly fry the bun with the cut side. I did this on a grill pan, but you can do it on a regular one. The main thing is not to add oil.
STEP 8

Cut the onions and cucumbers into rings. You can also simply cut the onion into cubes, this is not critical.
STEP 9

Assemble the burger. Spread the bottom bun with mustard and the top bun with sauce. Sauces can be varied, both tomato and cream.
STEP 10

Place the cutlet.
STEP 11

Place onions and cucumbers on the meat.
STEP 12

Cover with the top half of the bun and serve immediately. To prevent the burger from falling apart when serving, you can fasten it with special skewers. Bon appetit!
