If you ask the question about which pear pie is the most delicious, you will get very different and diametrically opposed answers. But many connoisseurs of sweet pastries are sure that pears taste best when paired with shortcrust pastry. It can be prepared either with butter or with margarine, the difference is small. It will be even tastier when you add cream filling to the pears.
Shortbread dough for pear pie is prepared very quickly. It is generally considered one of the most convenient in this regard: butter and flour are chopped into crumbs with a knife, mixed with the rest of the ingredients into a dough and sent to the refrigerator for half an hour. During this time, you can start filling: peel and cut the pears, simmer them in warm water or oil in a heated frying pan to soften them if necessary, mix with sugar for more sweetness. To make it juicier, you can cook creamy filling.
It is better to first bake the shortbread dough separately in the form of a basket when half cooked. Then fill with pears and filling and bake until fully cooked. Cool and serve with tea.
