  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

I really love poppy seed filling in baked goods, so I really liked the cottage cheese with the addition of poppy seeds. But it is very filling, you can’t eat too much, it lasted us for several days. To prepare the cottage cheese, you will need a springform or silicone mold with a diameter of 24-26-28 cm. I used whole grain flour, so the crumb came out dark.

Place flour, sugar, butter in a bowl and rub with your hands until crumbly.

    STEP 3

Place 2/3 in a mold (greased if necessary), press firmly along the bottom, it is not necessary to make sides. Place the mold in the refrigerator and the remaining crumbs too.

Pour milk into a 2.5-3 liter saucepan, add butter and sugar, bring to a boil. Add poppy seeds and semolina, stir and let sit for 10 minutes.

Poppy and semolina will swell. Beat the mixture with a mixer so that there are no lumps.

Beat cottage cheese with egg with a mixer.

Remove the form with the dough from the refrigerator, place the filling on top, and smooth it out. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Bake at 180 C for about an hour.

Cool the finished pie completely, it is very advisable to put it in the refrigerator overnight, and then carefully remove it from the mold. Under the crumbly crumbs is a moist poppy-flavored filling! Enjoy your tea!!!
