  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make peppers stuffed with minced meat and rice in a slow cooker? Prepare your food. Take enough peppers to fit vertically into the bowl, usually 8 medium-sized pieces. Any minced meat will do, I used pork. Take uncooked rice, I used it already boiled until half cooked.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Peel the onions and carrots. Cut the onion into small cubes, grate the carrots. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Read about how to choose the perfect frying pan, as well as how to choose the right oil for frying, in separate articles, links at the end of the recipe. Place the onion in the oil. Fry it, stirring, for a couple of minutes until transparent. Then add carrots to the onions. Fry the vegetables together for 5 minutes until soft, then cool slightly.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

While your roast is cooling, prepare the peppers. Wash them and cut out the center with the seeds. Boil the rice until half cooked. To do this, pour the washed cereal into boiling salted water, stir and leave to cook for 5 minutes at a low boil. Then place the rice in a sieve and cool. Read more about the intricacies of choosing rice in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add cooled rice and frying to the minced meat. Salt and pepper it. You can also add your favorite spices to taste.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Stir the minced meat until smooth.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Fill the peeled peppers with minced meat.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place the peppers in the multicooker bowl with the minced side up. I cooked 7 pieces, but it would be better if there were 8 of them, then the peppers would support each other and not fall.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Place the bowl in the multicooker. Pour hot water into it so that it reaches the middle of the peppers. Set the appliance to a program suitable for stewing. I call it “Stewing”. Set the time to at least 1 hour. I like well-cooked peppers, I cook them for 2 hours. The exact time depends on your taste preferences and the operating characteristics of your multicooker. Read more about this in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

After the readiness signal, open the lid and add tomato paste and salt to the water in which the peppers were stewed.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Close the lid again and set the program suitable for frying (for me it’s “Baking”). Or another one on which water will boil, for example, “Steaming”. Set the time to 10 minutes. Boil the peppers in the resulting sauce - this way they will turn out juicier, soaked in tomato paste.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Serve the peppers with sour cream or mayonnaise. Bon appetit!

My son asked me to make stuffed peppers for dinner. I used a recipe for peppers stuffed with minced meat and rice in a slow cooker. I used minced pork and regular short-grain rice. My onion was very large, so I only used half. In addition to bell peppers, I decided to try stuffing small ground peppers. My daughter usually doesn’t eat the entire “shell” of the pepper, scooping out all the filling. It was for this that I decided to use small peppers. I was unable to place the peppers exactly vertically in the multicooker bowl. So that they would at least somehow hold on, I placed several small tomatoes on the bottom of the bowl between the peppers. I cooked the peppers in the “Stew” mode for an hour and a half and another 10 minutes in the “Frying” mode. The peppers boiled perfectly, but at the same time kept their shape. It turned out very tasty and aromatic. Everyone asked for more. The experiment with small peppers went with a bang - my daughter ate the whole thing))katushafin, thank you very much for the recipe! I really enjoyed cooking stuffed peppers in a slow cooker - simple and without any extra hassle.

My family loves stuffed peppers, and since the advent of the slow cooker, I only cook them in it. Saves a lot of time and virtually no effort. Peppers stuffed with rice and meat in a slow cooker are just what you need for those housewives who, like me, always don’t have enough time, but at the same time want to please their loved ones with delicious dishes :)
