Mushroom pie

Mushroom pie, you don’t even need to tell me how delicious it is! You should not eat this pie hot, be patient and wait until it cools down. Cut a piece, close your eyes and take a bite. You will feel like you are in a forest, in a mushroom fairy tale. The cake has three layers. One is dough, the second is mushrooms and the third is white cheese sauce.

Step-by-step preparation

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Chop the mushrooms randomly, the onion into medium cubes, and the garlic into slices. First fry the garlic and onion in vegetable oil until golden brown. Add the mushrooms and fry for 7-8 minutes, until the mushroom liquid has boiled away. Add the mushroom cube, salt and pepper and let the filling cool. Do not add too much salt; remember that hard cheeses are usually salty and will add saltiness to the dish.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Lightly roll out the puff pastry and place it in the mold, making sure to make sides, approximately 4cm high.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Place the filling on the dough.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Grate the cheese on a fine grater.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Mix eggs, sour cream and cheese. Lightly pepper and salt. Just a little salt, be careful! Don't oversalt.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour the sour cream cheese sauce over the mushroom filling.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Bake the pie at 200 degrees, about 40-50 minutes. Let the pie cool. Slice and serve.

Your pie turned out great, Alice. My puff pastry is already ready. I’ll definitely make it for New Year’s Eve. What’s interesting to me is this: you probably ate it right away. I would like to know what it is like when cold. After all, there are so many dishes for the New Year that it is unlikely that you can eat it all at once. Although you can probably warm it up. Thanks for the recipe Happy New Year

Oh, friends, what a delicious pie you offer, and if there are also noble mushrooms, well, white ones, for example, then it will be the highlight of the program, oh, how fragrant it smells, such a pie in the morning of the 1st with broth, the best option!! ! And Happy New Year to all of you!!! New recipes and new victories!!!

I love this pie very much, I also add boiled Anait chicken fillet to the filling, this pie is very tasty when warmed up (that’s my taste), then the filling sets well and the pie turns out denser, and it’s much easier to cut it when it’s cooled. Happy Holidays to everyone!!

Don't eat it hot, it contains melted cheese. When the pie cools, everything becomes a homogeneous dense mass, it turns out very tasty and easy to cut.

Alice, I just fell in love with your pie and finally today I made puff pastry and decided to make a mushroom pie from one part of the dough. My shape is larger than yours and that’s why my pie turned out low
