STEP 1
To prepare a pie with minced fish, you can take ready-made yeast dough or make it yourself, for example, as in this recipe https://bestrecipes24.com/cooking/27216-postnyi-rulet-s-lukom-drojjevoi. Minced fish is now also sold ready-made; you can use it or prepare it yourself from fillets of any fish. For the pie you will also need onions and carrots, oil for frying vegetables, ground black pepper and salt; to grease the pie I used sour cream
STEP 2
Peel the vegetables, wash them, and dry them with paper towels. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater and cut the onion into cubes.
STEP 3
In heated sunflower oil, simmer the vegetables until half cooked. Cool.
STEP 4
Thaw the minced fish.
STEP 5
Add roasted vegetables to the minced meat.
STEP 6
Salt the minced meat, pepper with freshly ground pepper or a mixture of peppers and mix well until smooth.
STEP 7
Divide the dough into two parts, one larger, the other smaller, roll both into a circle shape, the first one slightly larger than the baking dish to form the sides.
STEP 8
Place the filling into the resulting pie bowl and smooth it out.
STEP 9
Cover with the rolled out second circle of dough.
STEP 10
Seal the edge, go through it with a braid to be sure. Poke holes with a fork to prevent the dough from puffing up when heating the pie.
STEP 11
Grease the surface of the pie with sour cream (you can traditionally use egg or mayonnaise). Let the cake rise slightly.
STEP 12
Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 170 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Remove the finished minced fish pie from the mold, place on paper towels, cover with a napkin, and allow time to “rest.” It is better to serve any baked goods chilled, even though we are all used to eating them “hot and hot.”
