Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to bake a layer cake with cheese and herbs? Prepare the ingredients according to the list. Thaw the puff pastry. Wash the eggs and dry with napkins. Rinse the greens well, shake off excess moisture and dry. Instead of feta cheese, you can use any other cheese of similar consistency.
STEP 2

Let's start preparing the filling. To do this, transfer the Brynza cheese into a bowl and mash it with a fork.

Chop fresh herbs finely with a knife.
STEP 4

Add chopped herbs and eggs to a bowl with chopped cheese. Mix everything until smooth.
STEP 5

Melt the butter separately. Pour melted butter into the filling. Mix well.
STEP 6

Roll out the puff pastry into a long, wide layer.
STEP 7

Spread the filling over the dough in an even layer, leaving 1 cm free from the edges.
STEP 8

Roll the dough along the long edge with the filling inside.
STEP 9

Grease a baking dish with butter and place the dough in it in a spiral, starting from the center.
STEP 10

Prepare the filling. To do this, beat raw eggs with milk until smooth. You can do this with a fork or a whisk.
STEP 11

Pour the milk-egg mixture over the raw pie. Place the pan in an oven preheated to 180-190°C for about 30-35 minutes. Determine the exact baking time and temperature based on your oven. Remove the finished pie from the oven and brush with butter.
