Lavash lasagna with minced meat in the oven

Fast! Just! Beautiful! It will become a real table decoration! Everyone's familiar and beloved lasagna will sparkle with new colors - thanks to pita bread instead of pasta and original decoration. When baked, pita bread becomes soft due to the sauce, but does not become soggy. Cut into portions, it holds its shape perfectly.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make lasagna from pita bread? First, prepare the bechamel sauce. Prepare your food.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Place the butter in a thick-bottomed saucepan and place over low heat. Melt the butter while stirring constantly, but do not let it boil.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add flour to the butter and stir vigorously. Without ceasing to stir, fry the flour for a minute until a light nutty aroma appears.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour the milk into the saucepan in a thin stream. And again with constant stirring. The flour should completely disperse in the milk - dissolve. Add salt, pepper and nutmeg.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Cook the sauce over low heat until thickened. Either use the finished sauce immediately, or cover with film so that it lies on the surface. Otherwise the sauce will become foamy.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Next, prepare the bolognese sauce. Prepare food for him. You can use any minced meat - beef, pork or chicken. I always use crushed tomato pulp for tomato sauce. Traditional spices for lasagna are herbs from Italian cuisine.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Peel the onion and cut into small cubes.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Wash the carrots well, peel and cut into small cubes.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Heat a frying pan, pour oil into it. Add onions and carrots. Fry vegetables for 5 minutes.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Add minced meat to vegetables, stir.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Pour in tomato sauce, add salt and spices. Simmer the sauce covered for about 30 minutes.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

All that remains is to assemble the lasagna. The pita bread will need to be thin and fresh. Cheese is the one that goes on pizza, in a piece.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Grate the mozzarella on a coarse grater.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Take a lasagne pan. Place the pita bread on the bottom so that its edges cover the sides of the mold. Add some of the Bolognese sauce. Spread it out into an even layer.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

Place bechamel sauce on the meat, about three tablespoons. Smear it.

  16. STEP 16

    STEP 16

Sprinkle everything with a thin layer of cheese. Take about one-fourth of the total amount of cheese. Cut the pita bread into rectangles to fit the mold. Cover the first layer of filling with a sheet of pita bread. And repeat the layers - minced meat, bechamel, cheese. Again a sheet of lavash, minced meat, bechamel, cheese. My mold measures 23*18 cm, this amount of product was enough for three layers.

  17. STEP 17

    STEP 17

At the end, tuck the edges of the pita bread, covering the filling. Place another sheet of lavash on top - it will turn out very neatly, and nothing will leak out during baking.

  18. STEP 18

    STEP 18

Sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top of lasagne.

  19. STEP 19

    STEP 19

Garnish the top of the lasagna with vegetables - I used arugula, parsley, celery, onion, cherry tomatoes, olives and sesame seeds. Show your imagination.

  20. STEP 20

    STEP 20

Place the lasagne pan in the oven preheated to 190°C for 15 minutes. The cheese on top should melt. There is no need to hold it longer - the filling is completely ready. Serve the finished lasagna immediately to the table.

Lasagna has always seemed too complicated a dish for me, and you can’t always find special pasta sheets for it. I recently bought lavash and started looking for something to cook with it, when I found this wonderful recipe. After reading the ingredients, I realized that I would 100% like this dish, because I simply adore Bolognese and bechamel sauces) For the filling, I took minced fat pork, fried everything as in the recipe, even cut the carrots into cubes. I added an extra spoonful of vegetable oil to the white sauce, I like it better. I used pepper from a grinder. I didn’t believe before that the seasoning would be more aromatic, but now I’m convinced. My form is not large, it turned out to be four layers. I lightly sprinkled the top with milk to soften it, the edges of the pita bread dried out a little. And then I sprinkled it with cheese. I baked the lasagna for 20 minutes, in principle it could have been less. The lasagna turned out to be very tender, all the layers were soaked, the cheese was stretchy. The pieces do not fall apart, it rather depends on the moisture content of the filling. Everything I love! And such a wonderful mixture of sauces, it’s just an explosion of taste. I wasn’t the only one who liked it; we ate it all hot) Thank you, I recommend it!

how amazing! Because you can’t buy pasta for lasagna everywhere, but you always have lavash on hand. Thank you!
