  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Let's prepare all the necessary ingredients.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Knead the yeast with salt and sugar.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Then pour in warm milk and add softened butter. Mix.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Then we start adding flour. Do not pour out all 4 glasses at once. You may need 3.5. It turns out differently for me every time. Check the consistency of the dough. It should be soft, but not stick to your hands.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

So, knead the dough. Don't knead for too long. Place the finished dough in the refrigerator for about 1-1.5 hours. During this time it will rise.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Let's start preparing the fish. We cut off the head, tail, fins, and remove the entrails. Cut into pieces 2-3 cm wide. Salt. You can sprinkle the fish with seasoning. Leave for 1-1.5 hours.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

After the dough had risen, I divided it into 10 parts. From each piece we knead these flat cakes with our hands.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Lubricate 5 of them with vegetable oil and lay out 2 pieces of fish. It is advisable that the oil does not get on the edges, otherwise the dough will not stick well.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Cover the top with the second flatbread and seal the edges.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

I got five of these blanks. Bake in the oven for 35 minutes at 220 degrees.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

After you remove the pies from the oven, brush them with butter and cover with a towel. This will make the top softer. After 15 minutes you can serve it to the table. Cut with a knife at the junction of the two halves. Open them and enjoy the delicious aromatic fish.

The recipe is a find! Thanks for the originality. I love baking with fish and usually make jellied pie with canned fish using this recipe.
