  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to fry zucchini in batter in a frying pan with garlic? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Zucchini is suitable both young and mature. The latter will need to be cleaned of seeds and skin. You can use sour cream of any fat content.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the zucchini; if the vegetable is mature, remove the skin and remove the core and seeds. Cut the pulp into thin rings or half rings. Zucchini half rings fit more compactly in the pan, and you can fry a larger number of servings in one batch.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Make the batter. To do this, place sour cream in a deep bowl. If it is very thick, then you need to add a little water. Beat a chicken egg into the sour cream. Add salt and ground black pepper to taste.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Peel the garlic, pass through a press or grate on a fine grater and add to the bowl with the rest of the ingredients. Mix everything thoroughly with a whisk or mixer until the mixture becomes homogeneous and the white of the chicken egg is completely separated.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Sift the flour into a bowl with the liquid ingredients and mix everything thoroughly again so that the flour does not form lumps, and the mixture becomes the consistency of thick sour cream.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat it. Dip the zucchini pieces into a bowl of batter.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place the battered zucchini on the hot oil. The oil must be well heated so that the batter does not spread over the pan, but immediately sets on the zucchini. Over medium heat, fry the zucchini for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

If you want the zucchini to be soft inside, then after turning the pan over, you can cover it with a lid and keep it there for a couple of minutes. But when frying without a lid, the batter on the zucchini slices turns out crispier. Remove the battered zucchini pieces to a plate lined with paper napkins to absorb excess fat. Then transfer them to a serving platter and serve. Bon appetit!

Thanks for the delicious zucchini recipe. I usually just fry it and roll it in flour. Both options are good.

For dinner I cooked zucchini in batter in a frying pan with garlic. Instead of sour cream, I took mayonnaise, added a little water and mixed well. I made the batter. The only spice I added was black pepper. Peeled the zucchini and cut them into slices. I dipped each circle in batter and fried until golden brown. The zucchini turned out very juicy and tasty, filling. I’ll take note of the recipe, since our whole family loves this vegetable. Thank you for the simple and delicious recipe!

Thanks for the recipe! Simple and delicious! I cut the zucchini into circles and they look very similar to pancakes, which is cool)) I also experimented and made a batter with kefir, it’s also pretty good, I’ll tell you!

It's time for zucchini. I decided to start with zucchini in batter, it’s quick and easy. I really liked the sour cream batter. According to my taste, I added turmeric and paprika; I did not add garlic, because... the children also ate. I took more flour to make the batter thick. I cut the zucchini into 0.3-0.5 cm thick pieces and dipped the slices in flour before dipping them into the batter. Thanks to this, the batter adhered better to the zucchini. The appetizer turned out great, the batter was tasty and filling, the zucchini was a little crispy. A great addition to lunch and dinner!
