Chocolate pie with cottage cheese and cherries

A delicate curd layer and juicy cherries will win your heart! The pie turns out tender, crumbly and moderately sweet, so if you like it sweeter, you can slightly increase the amount of sugar in the dough or filling. Help yourself!

I made chocolate pie with cottage cheese and cherries a long time ago, using frozen cherries. I took a photo, but I still couldn’t post a photo report. I really liked the pie! The dough is simple to prepare and easy to work with. I prepared the dough without using a blender, grinding everything by hand, it turned out fine and didn’t take long. For the filling I used good homemade cottage cheese and previously defrosted cherries. It turned out to be a very tasty pie! Chocolate dough, sweet cottage cheese and slightly sour cherries - just the perfect combination. I was very pleased that the cake comes out of the ceramic mold perfectly. Fresh cherries have already arrived. I think the pie needs to be repeated! Many thanks to the author for this recipe. Here is my photo report)))

I love making cherry pies - feeling all the “aromatic magic” of fragrant berries combined with vanilla! My family really likes the dough, which just melts in your mouth, so over time I completely eliminated the baking powder from this recipe. With it, the cake does not always come out airy. Instead, I quench the baking soda with vinegar. You only need half a teaspoon of baking soda. And to make the baked goods more aromatic, I replace vanilla sugar with regular sugar, but put “live” vanilla in the dough. The sticks are sold in any supermarket in the seasoning section, next to the cloves and cinnamon. The cake is very easy to bake! The main thing is to monitor the temperature, everything is strictly according to the recipe.

Irisha, thanks for the recipe! I just baked a pie, my husband and I liked it, a very good combination of sour and sweet, but there was little cocoa felt, and in your photo the dough is much darker, apparently it all depends on the quality of the products, next time I’ll put a little more cocoa. Those who love sugary-sweet baked goods can safely add more sugar. I will repeat the recipe tomorrow!

Today I made it with canned applesauce (homemade), because... The cherry is gone. It’s also very tasty, but with cherries it’s absolutely perfect!

MOTHER OF A SWEET TOOTH, I agree, cherries are perfect here. For my taste, chocolate, cottage cheese and cherries are simply made for each other))) but I think instead of cherries you can try another berry - strawberries, raspberries or blueberries, they should also be suitable :)

Cute pie, I really like the combination of chocolate, cherries and cottage cheese. I’m adding it to my bookmarks and will definitely make it in the summer when the cherries are ripe.
