Milk porridge in a slow cooker with milk
Many of us once bought multicookers for the sole (initially) purpose of cooking delicious milk porridges. The trouble-free kitchen assistant copes with this (and not only this!) task with a bang. After all, you must admit, it’s not pleasant to stand over the stove for a long time, carefully making sure that the porridge doesn’t run away. Now literally everything is cooked in this miracle oven, but that’s another topic)
So, in order to cook porridge with milk in a slow cooker, you only need milk, cereal, sugar and salt. In some cases it is recommended to add a small piece of butter, but this step can be skipped. Cereals can be any: semolina, rice, buckwheat, oatmeal, wheat, millet, barley - you won’t be afraid of any grain))
The cooking technology is, in most cases, the same. Milk is poured into the bowl, cereal is poured in (some must be washed before this!), the selected sweetener and salt are added to enhance the taste. In some recipes for porridge with milk, dried fruits, fresh vegetables, fruits and berries are also added to the slow cooker. Then the desired program is installed (usually “Milk porridge”). If necessary, manually enter the cooking time and, voila, an hour or less later there is hot porridge on your table.
Need I say that with a multicooker it will never run away, burn, or be undercooked? It will always be tasty, fluffy, tender. In addition, it will significantly save your time. For example, food can be dropped off at six or seven o'clock. Activate delayed start and go get some sleep. So that when you get up with your family, you can also enjoy a hot breakfast)
Helpful advice:
To get porridge in the morning without having to get up earlier, cook it in advance in the evening. Just turn on the program and go to bed. The multicooker will cook itself, and then switch to heating mode until the morning. This method is good because it can be used all year round, without fear that if the start is delayed, the milk will sour overnight. In addition, for many cereals it is very useful to simmer in a warm place for some time - they become even more tasty from this.
