  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to cook wheat porridge with milk in a slow cooker? Measure out the required amount of wheat cereal, pour it into a bowl and cover with water for 5 minutes. If you want to get a thick, crumbly porridge, then reduce the ratio of liquid to cereal by 2 to 1, viscous - 3 to 1. I have a ratio of 5 to 1 and it will be a liquid porridge.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Rinse the cereal under running water until completely transparent in several waters. It is very important to prepare the cereal competently, correctly and thoroughly, since even a small amount of mulch can spoil the taste of the finished dish and make it unpleasant to the taste and sticky. Also, when washing the cereal, try to wash away all the small debris that will rise to the surface. When you are sure that the cereal is completely clean, drain all the water.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour the washed cereal into the multicooker bowl, distributing it evenly along the bottom. In this recipe I used a 700W multicooker. Add salt and sugar on top. With the specified amount of sugar in the amount of one tablespoon, you will get a moderately sweet porridge; if you like it sweeter, then add sugar to your taste.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour milk on top of the cereal. It is better to take pasteurized milk with a fat content of 2.5%. In some cases, if the milk is homemade and very fatty, it can be diluted with water. As a result, we should have a cereal to milk ratio of 1:5. For example, one multi-glass of wheat cereal and 5 multi-glasses of milk. Or as indicated in the recipe: 0.5 large glass of cereal and 2.5 exactly the same glass of milk. You will get a liquid porridge.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Turn on the multicooker to the “Milk porridge” mode for 50 minutes. My default is 25 minutes, so I increased the time exactly twice. If you don’t have such a mode, then activate the “Porridge” or “Buckwheat” mode for the same time. Close the lid and wait for the signal to indicate the end of the process. When the multicooker turns off, open the lid and add a piece of butter to the finished porridge - you can add it directly to the portion plates when serving.

I don’t cook wheat porridge very often, but it’s a shame, it’s very tasty and nutritious. For those who don’t really like milk, here is a recipe for porridge with water.

I prepared wheat porridge with milk in a slow cooker. Somehow we undeservedly ignore it. I washed the cereal thoroughly in the evening and even soaked it in cold water overnight (which I had never done before). In the morning I “loaded” the multicooker, selected the “porridge” mode, set the time to an hour and calmly went about other things. I needed a thin porridge, so I took a little more milk. An hour later, the most tender and delicious porridge was ready. A wonderful, dietary, but at the same time filling breakfast. Thanks for the recipe.
