  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to cook Druzhba porridge with milk in a slow cooker? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. Take milk with minimal fat content. I use 1% fat. If the milk is fatty, it will escape from the multicooker. Then you just need to dilute it with a little water.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Grease the multicooker bowl along the bottom and sides with a piece of butter. This is necessary to prevent the milk from running away. Although it has minimal fat content, it can also escape without this procedure. Leave the butter pieces at the bottom of the bowl.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour hot water over the millet and leave for 1-2 minutes. Thanks to this, the thin film that covers it will be washed off from the millet and it will not taste bitter. Then drain the hot water and rinse it in cold. Just rinse the rice several times in cold water. Drain all the water from both grains.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Place the washed cereal into the multicooker bowl.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add sugar and a pinch of salt to the cereal. You can change the amount of sugar to your taste.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Then pour milk into the bowl and mix everything. Place the bowl in the multicooker, cover with a lid and turn on the “milk porridge” mode for 40 minutes. The times are approximate, be guided by the operating features of your multicooker. There is no need to open the lid during cooking.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

After the specified time, the multicooker will emit a sound indicating that the porridge is ready. Carefully open the lid. The cereal absorbed the milk well. Stir the finished porridge and place on plates.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

The porridge can be supplemented with fresh berries. Bon appetit!

My daughter loves “Friendship” porridge very much; in kindergarten it is her favorite breakfast after semolina) So I decided to cook this porridge at home using a slow cooker. I found a recipe for Friendship porridge with milk in a slow cooker on my favorite website and started cooking. According to the author’s recommendation, I poured boiling water over the millet, but left it to stand longer, for 15 minutes. I don’t like it when millet tastes bitter, so I played it safe) My rice is round, but not cut, I like individual grains in my porridge. I diluted the milk half and half with water so that it was not too fatty. Otherwise everything is the same. The porridge took 40 minutes to prepare, after which I stirred it and added another 10 minutes. Then I let it sit for 15 minutes. The porridge turned out to be the perfect consistency. The thickness is average, after cooling it didn’t become very thick and that’s just wonderful) The taste is great! Now I know how to cook "Friendship" in a slow cooker. Thanks for the great recipe!

The recipe is good, the proportions are correct, the result is a tasty porridge of medium thickness. I often put this porridge in the slow cooker overnight on a delayed start, and in the morning I wake up to the delicious smell. Milk, even diluted, still runs away, in order to stop it and then not wash the valve and lid, you need to spread a piece of butter on the bowl above the milk level. Tested by time.
