How to cook semolina porridge with milk in a slow cooker? Quite fast and simple. First, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. Different recipes contain different ratios of semolina and milk. This directly depends on the thickness of the porridge that you need. According to this recipe, the porridge will be liquid. If you want the porridge to be thicker, you can add 3-5 tbsp. l. semolina.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pour milk into the multicooker bowl. Add semolina. Add salt and sugar to taste and stir with a special multi-cooker spatula or silicone spatula. Adjust the amount of salt and sugar to your taste. I added a pinch of salt and 1 tbsp. l. sugar. Some recipes say that you need to pre-lubricate the bowl with butter so that the porridge does not stick. I didn’t lubricate it with anything and the porridge didn’t stick to me.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

To prevent milk from escaping, place a steamer container on top. Whether the milk will rise strongly or not directly depends on the temperature at which the porridge is cooked.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Close the lid of the device and set it to “Milk porridge” mode for 10 minutes. If your model does not have such a mode, the usual “Cooking” mode will do, but set the temperature to 90-95°C. The exact time depends on the brand of your multicooker and also on the temperature. My default temperature in this mode is 90°C. Therefore there is no violent boiling. During cooking, you can stir the porridge periodically.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

At the end of the cooking time, turn off the multicooker. Look at the consistency. If you need thicker porridge, leave the multicooker on heat for 10-15 minutes. Add butter to the finished porridge and stir.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Place the porridge on a plate and serve immediately. Bon appetit!

I found a new quick way to cook semolina porridge in a slow cooker using milk! I've never cooked semolina before, but this is the first time I've come across this method. This is very convenient; you don’t need to stand over the pan and constantly stir the porridge. I turned on the multicooker for 10 minutes, “porridge” mode. It seems to me that five minutes would be enough if you need it thinner. The milk was completely absorbed into the semolina and the result was a thick porridge. True, several lumps formed, but I easily broke them up with a whisk. Although my daughter likes it with lumps) I used baked milk for the porridge, so it turned out creamy. I would like to thank Maria for the advice to use a steamer container to prevent the milk from escaping. Now I cook all milk porridges this way, this method helps a lot! And the semolina porridge turned out to be medium thick, tender and tasty. We like her a lot.

Semolina porridge in a slow cooker with milk is the best way to prepare semolina for breakfast. I prepare semolina porridge every other day for my child, he really likes it. I’ve never cooked it before, but this is the first time in a slow cooker. The important point here is that the milk does not run away. To do this, I make a rim of butter in a bowl, so I also cook pea puree in a slow cooker) Then the milk, when boiling, will not rise beyond the butter rim. I threw milk, salt, semolina, sugar into the bowl and turned on the multicooker for 10 minutes. What could be simpler! Do your morning chores while the porridge is cooking. No need to stand near the stove and constantly stir. At the end of cooking, add butter and stir. The perfect semolina porridge turned out, without lumps, not thick, of medium consistency. Super! And by the way, the multicooker bowl is easier to wash than the pan after porridge) Tasty, fast, simple and very time-saving. Great recipe! I advise everyone to use a multicooker. Many thanks to the author for opening it up for me 😀
