You can cook semolina not only with milk, but also with water, if someone is interested in a leaner option. Take milk of any fat content, it doesn’t matter and is chosen according to taste or availability.

    Pour semolina into the pan and leave for 10 minutes to swell. It is this little secret that will allow you to cook semolina without lumps. There is no need to stir the semolina. For 1 liter of liquid, usually take 6 tablespoons of semolina. I cooked with 0.5 liters of liquid, so I took 3 spoons.

    After 10 minutes, place the pan on a lit stove over low heat and bring to a boil while stirring continuously. Add sugar and salt. Cook the semolina for 3-4 minutes, also with constant stirring. This is the second secret of homogeneous porridge. You can stir with a spoon or whisk. If you like your semolina sweeter, add sugar to your liking.

    Then turn off the heat and add butter to the pan. You can put the butter not immediately in the pan, but on a plate for each family member, the main thing is that the semolina is hot and the butter has melted. Semolina in these proportions turns out to be not very liquid and not very thick - just in moderation. After cooling, the porridge will thicken a little. Bon appetit!

I cooked liquid semolina porridge with milk for breakfast. I liked the proportions; the porridge turned out semi-liquid and flowing. My cereal is not very small, it absorbs a lot of liquid, but it was fine. Instead of milk, I used 10% cream, which I diluted with water 1:3. I also liked the way the semolina was prepared before cooking. Soaking significantly speeded up the cooking process. And the porridge turned out without lumps. At the end I added fresh butter, which made the porridge even more tender and tastier. Great recipe!

I made semolina for breakfast using this recipe. I poured milk over the semolina and left it to swell for 10 minutes. Added salt and granulated sugar. Placed on the stove and brought to a boil. Cook for 3 minutes over low heat with constant stirring. At the end, add a piece of butter and stir. It turned out to be an amazing porridge. No lumps, liquid, sweet and very tasty. This is a wonderful cooking method that I didn’t know about before, unfortunately. It is very easy and simple to prepare. And the result is an impeccable result. My child really liked liquid semolina porridge with milk. Many thanks to the author)

According to the recipe I put 1 tbsp. a spoonful of honey instead of sugar. At temperatures above 50 degrees, it loses most of its beneficial properties, but gives a pleasant taste.

Sharlis, thank you for the very tasty recipe. This recipe makes the porridge truly perfect! Very milky, delicate in taste, liquid and without lumps, just the way I like it. I made the porridge dessert by adding pieces of fresh plums and almond petals. Next time I will definitely prepare this porridge, but without granulated sugar and add strawberry topping with almond petals to it. I’m sure this will make the porridge even tastier, because I love the combination of strawberries and almonds!
