STEP 1

How to cook pumpkin porridge in a slow cooker? Prepare all the necessary ingredients to prepare porridge without using grains. If desired, you can then add vanillin or fresh berries to taste. Choose pumpkin with orange flesh, then the porridge will be bright in color.
STEP 2

Cut the pumpkin into pieces, remove the seeds and cut off the rind. If the skin is very tough, cut the pumpkin into small pieces to make it easier to remove. Cut the peeled pumpkin into pieces and place in the multicooker bowl. The finer you cut it, the more the pumpkin will boil.
STEP 3

Pour milk into the bowl with the pumpkin. Instead of milk, you can use cream, then the porridge will be more tender. Add sugar to pumpkin and milk. Regular sugar can be replaced with cane or brown sugar, then the pumpkin porridge will have a light caramel taste.
STEP 4

Close the multicooker lid and set the “Stew” mode for 40 minutes. I have it set for 30 minutes, so after the beep I had to turn on the program again for 10 minutes.
STEP 5

Place the finished pumpkin in a bowl and mash with a masher to make a puree. If you want there to be no pieces in it, puree everything with a blender. Taste the pumpkin porridge and adjust it to taste with sugar and salt if desired. If you serve it hot, you can season it with butter.
