STEP 1

How to cook millet porridge with milk in a slow cooker? Prepare your ingredients. First of all, choose the right millet. The cereal must be fresh and not have an artificial unnatural bright yellow color. It’s better to buy polished millet. If you have regular unpolished millet on hand, you can cook delicious porridge from it, you just need to prepare it more carefully for cooking.
STEP 2

Rinse this millet very well, changing the water several times until it becomes clear. Then fill it with clean cold water and leave for two hours. If time does not allow you to soak the cereal for so long, then pour boiling water over it and leave for 5 minutes. Then rinse the millet again with cold water. These methods will help rid millet of bitterness. If the millet is polished, then it is enough to rinse it with cold and then several times with hot water.
STEP 3

Place the washed millet in the multicooker bowl. Add sugar and salt. If you want to cook sweet porridge, increase the amount of sugar.
STEP 4

Pour in the milk. Choose the fat content of the milk yourself, depending on the calorie content of the dish you want. The fattier the milk, the more nutritious the porridge. When adding milk, maintain the proportions of cereal and liquid to prepare liquid porridge. For one part of cereal, take four parts of milk.
STEP 5

To prevent milk from escaping through the valve of the multicooker lid during cooking, you can grease the edge of the multicooker bowl with a piece of butter. Turn on the appropriate program for cooking milk porridge on your multicooker. If it has a time option, set it to 20 minutes. After the beep, leave the porridge under the lid on the “warm” mode for 20-30 minutes.
