Cabbage with sausage, a kind of analogue of Polish bigus, is prepared by stewing or frying in a frying pan, slow cooker, or pressure cooker. Cooking in the oven in a saucepan or any container with thick walls is allowed. The most delicious is fried in oil, then the cabbage develops a peculiar flavor. To do this, it is finely chopped, then fried in small portions so that the cabbage changes color but does not burn. Onions and sausage are fried separately. Then everything is mixed and stewed with spices until cooked.
If you want to add sauce to the dish, add tomato paste and boiled water. For a creamy taste, you can add a spoonful of sour cream. Ground black pepper is the most suitable seasoning. At the end of cooking, you can season with freshly chopped dill.
