  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make a hot dog in pita bread? Prepare your food. Take thin lavash; you will need two pieces (one per serving). Long and thin sausages are better; I had regular milk sausages, but they turned out a little short. It didn't affect the taste at all.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Separate the Chinese cabbage into leaves, wash them well and then dry thoroughly. Cut the leaves into thin strips. In addition to Beijing, you can also take regular white cabbage. But then you will need to knead it thoroughly with your hands so that the cabbage becomes soft and releases the juice.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Wash the tomato, wipe it and cut it into strips - first into circles, then into strips. Drain off excess juice.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Grate the cheese. The main criterion when choosing cheese for this recipe is its taste and meltability. Choose natural varieties, without herbal additives.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Peel the sausages from the casing and fry on a grill pan on all sides. Don't keep them on the fire for too long - some types of sausages may burst.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Spread the pita bread on the table. Place shredded cabbage in a strip in the center of the sheet. Place Korean carrots on the cabbage. You can cook it yourself; there are a lot of recipes on our website.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place the sausage on the carrots and tomato strips on the side.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Lubricate the tomato with mayonnaise, the sausage with tomato sauce and mustard. Use mustard according to your taste, I used sweet and not spicy.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Sprinkle grated cheese on top of the filling.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Roll the pita bread, tucking the edges, into a tight roll.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Grill the hot dogs on both sides until striped, giving enough time to melt the cheese.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Then serve the hot dog immediately. Bon appetit!

I will definitely make this hot dog. Thanks for the idea. For a snack I often make lavash with sausage and cheese. Great snack.

Thanks for the great idea! An excellent option for a quick and satisfying dinner. I decided to try making a hot dog in pita bread, using your recipe as a basis. I bought the sausages boiled with a tasty crust, so I didn’t boil them. Instead of Korean carrots, I used white cabbage, shredded thinly. For 1 hot dog I took 1 sheet of Armenian lavash and 2 sausages. I also added a little mustard, we love it spicy. I didn’t fry the hot dogs in a frying pan for my own reasons, but heated them well in the microwave for 2 minutes to melt the cheese. I don’t have a golden brown crust on my lavash, but it didn’t affect the taste at all. It doesn't take even 15 minutes to prepare. It's very simple. My hot dogs turned out filling, juicy, tasty and piquant. The cheese stretches perfectly when bitten, the cabbage is crunchy, the sauces drip, the sausages are juicy, the pita bread is soft and warm! Well, how can you refuse such splendor?! I almost swallowed my tongue))) Thanks for the wonderful recipe!
