Lavash envelopes with different fillings in a frying pan
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make fried lavash envelopes with different fillings in a frying pan? Prepare the necessary ingredients. You can use absolutely any food as a filling: cheese/greens, mashed potatoes/onions, mushrooms/onions, cottage cheese/raisins, chicken/cheese. There are many variations, choose according to your taste or availability of products. Wash and dry tomatoes, apples and herbs
STEP 2
For the envelope with sausage and cheese filling, chop the sausage and tomato, and grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
STEP 3
For the curd filling, mix cottage cheese, finely chopped herbs and a little salt to taste.
STEP 4
For the apple filling, cut the apple into small cubes.
STEP 5
Heat the butter in a small saucepan, add apples, sugar and cinnamon. Simmer the apples until softened over low heat, covered, for about 5 minutes. Cool the finished apples a little.
STEP 6
Cut the pita bread into strips, mine made 3 pieces, about 10 cm wide. The easiest way to do this is with scissors.
STEP 7
You can start forming the envelopes. Place a spoonful of filling on the edge of the strip, moving it slightly to one edge.
STEP 8
Fold the edge of the filled pita bread diagonally, being careful not to let the filling fall out.
STEP 9
Then fold in a straight line, covering one open edge.
STEP 10
Fold diagonally again.
STEP 11
Fold the pita bread again in a straight line. All the filling is now sealed inside.
STEP 12
Continue folding the triangle until you run out of pita bread. You can make fewer layers and stop when all the filling is inside. Then the layer of dough will be small, and the envelopes will turn out even tastier.
STEP 13
If there is a piece left at the end, trim it with scissors to make the envelope look neat.
STEP 14
Form the remaining envelopes in the same way.
STEP 15
Melt the butter in a large frying pan and place the envelopes on it. Cook over low heat with the lid closed.
STEP 16
After the envelopes are browned on one side, turn them over to the other and cook under the lid. I fried them for about three minutes on each side. You can fry the envelopes without oil, in a grill pan. Or dip them first in beaten egg and then fry in oil. Bon appetit!
