STEP 1
How to make a salad with Chinese cabbage and croutons? Prepare your food. Take boiled-smoked sausage, like Moscow sausage, it is softer and better suited for salad. Ham or carb type meats will also work. Cucumber - fresh, medium size. You can use ready-made crackers, I will fry them myself.
STEP 2
Wash the cabbage, tear off the top wilted leaves. Cut the required amount of cabbage into thin strips. You can cut the head of cabbage right away or tear off whole leaves first and cut them. I love the top green part of the leaves so I used that.
STEP 3
Remove the casing from the sausage. cut it into medium-sized strips.
STEP 4
Wash the cucumber and cut off the ends. Be sure to try to see if it is bitter - such a fruit will spoil the taste of the entire dish. Also cut the cucumber into strips. The salad will look beautiful and neat if you cut all the ingredients into pieces of the same size and shape (for example, into strips).
STEP 5
Cut the bread into small cubes. Any white bread will do - loaf, loaves, baguette, I have a slice of toast. You can also make crackers from rye bread.
STEP 6
Heat vegetable oil for frying in a frying pan, add crackers. Fry them over low heat, stirring, until golden brown and crispy.
STEP 7
Place all ingredients in a salad bowl, add salt and pepper. Just keep in mind that the salad will be seasoned with mayonnaise, which contains salt, and it contains sausage. Add mayonnaise, stir.
STEP 8
Divide the salad among serving plates and top with croutons.
STEP 9
Serve the salad immediately so that the croutons do not soften. Bon appetit!
