To prepare vegetable stew with rice, I used some frozen ingredients (cabbage and green peas), and instead of tomatoes, I used tomato paste (it slightly changed the color of the finished dish, the rice became darker). I added a head of onion myself, chopped it and fried it along with the carrots at the very beginning of cooking, and added the green onions at the end along with the peas. The result is a very tasty vegetable stew! Moreover, with moderate use of garlic, the main flavor accent is given to it by the cabbage (and in my case, also by the tomato paste). We didn't need any meat or fish for this dish. Everyone wanted more. I’ll definitely make this stew in the future, but I’ll just make a double portion right away.
