Prepare the dough: sift the flour into a bowl and grind with butter until fine crumbs are obtained, add powdered sugar and a lightly beaten egg. Mix well until the crumbs stick together and the dough is smooth. Wrap the dough in cling film and place in the refrigerator while you prepare the filling.

Melt the butter in a frying pan,

add sugar and water. Stir well over low heat until the sugar is completely dissolved, then increase the heat and cook the mixture without stirring until rich brown.
STEP 5
Pour this caramel into a mold, it is better to take a one-piece mold, sprinkle with cranberries and arrange thin slices of apples, peeled and seeds, close together and overlapping.
STEP 6
Roll out the dough into a circle slightly larger than the diameter of the mold. Transfer the dough onto the apples and fold the edges inward. Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 30-40 minutes until the crust turns light golden brown.
STEP 7
Remove the pie from the oven, let it rest for a couple of minutes and invert onto a large platter.
