Quick sweet pie

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to bake a quick sweet simple pie in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Take a large egg. Choose any thick jam to suit your taste. Jam will also work. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance. It should be at room temperature. Sift the flour in advance. Thanks to this, the finished cake will turn out fluffier and airier.
STEP 2

Beat an egg into a bowl, add sugar and add softened butter. Mix everything well. To make the dough softer, you can add a couple of tablespoons of sour cream.
STEP 3

Gradually add sifted flour mixed with baking powder into the mixture and knead the dough. The shortbread dough should be soft and elastic. Depending on the quality of flour, you may need a little more or a little less. You can read more about flour and its properties in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.
STEP 4

Place the finished dough in a plastic bag or cling film and put it in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. Turn on the oven at 180 degrees.
STEP 5

When the dough has cooled and rested, remove it from the refrigerator and divide it into two unequal parts: 2/3 and 1/3. Roll out most of it into a layer. Transfer the dough to a baking pan. You can simply put the dough in the mold and distribute it with your hands along the bottom of the mold, the thickness of the layer is about 0.5-0.7 cm. Read about how to choose a baking dish in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe.
STEP 6

Place the filling on the dough; I used thick strawberry jam. For flavor, I added a couple of tablespoons of tangerine jam.
STEP 7

Roll out the remaining shortbread dough into a thin layer and cut into ribbons. Place the resulting dough ribbons on the surface of the filling in the form of a lattice.
STEP 8

Bake our quick shortbread sweet pie at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes. The exact time depends on your oven. You can learn about the operating features of ovens by reading a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.
STEP 9

Cool the finished pie slightly in the pan. Then carefully remove it, place it on a board or dish, cut into portions and serve with tea, coffee, or milk. If desired, the finished pie can be sprinkled with powdered sugar or served with a scoop of ice cream. Bon appetit!
