Dishes with cranberries
Perhaps this is why picking cranberries is not particularly pleasant - a swamp is not the best place for forest walks. But cranberry dishes acquire an incomparable taste. Cranberries are popular among people for their sourness, which, combined with sweetness, gives a truly unforgettable experience. Those who have ever tried cranberries in sugar (more precisely, cranberries in powdered sugar) will understand what we are talking about. Once upon a time, in a country that did not yet have its own name and was simply called “New England” (the current USA), cranberries were called "bear berry". Local residents noticed that bears often visited places where cranberries grew and ate their bushes with appetite. Cranberries are a rich source of vitamin C, the content of which in the berry can be compared with such champions of vitamin C as: lemons, oranges, grapefruits, strawberries Cranberries contain a lot of B vitamins, vitamin PP, K. Cranberries are rich in copper, manganese, iodine, iron, magnesium, molybdenum and a number of other microelements. The most favorite cranberry dish for many is cranberry juice, which perfectly quenches thirst . Sugared cranberries, which were already mentioned above, are an excellent dessert that can be eaten instead of sweets (and will be much healthier, by the way). Cranberries are also useful during pregnancy, since they contain not just a lot, but a lot of vitamins and minerals. Jams, jellies, fruit drinks, compotes, juices are made from cranberries, and extracts are prepared. Cranberry leaves can be put in boiling water and drunk instead of tea. Cranberry jelly is very tasty and healthy, and cranberry sauce complements sweet desserts and fried steaks well.
