  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake homemade oatmeal cookies with kefir in the oven? Prepare all ingredients. Melt the butter in a water bath or in the microwave. How to do this correctly, read at the end of the recipe. Add honey, egg, kefir, soda to melted butter at room temperature and mix everything thoroughly. I also added a pinch of cinnamon for flavor. Read about all the nuances of working with soda in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Grind oatmeal in a blender. Cereals are not needed for instant cooking. Read more about the intricacies of choosing oatmeal in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

In a large bowl, mix the crushed oatmeal, flour sifted through a fine sieve (this will enrich it with oxygen and the baked goods will be more fluffy), sugar and salt.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Then gradually add the butter mixture to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

You can add your favorite dried fruits and nuts to the dough if you wish; I added dried cranberries and walnuts. To prevent pieces of dried fruit from sticking to each other, mix them with a small amount of flour. Stir the dough again and place it in the freezer for 20 minutes. Turn on the oven at 190 degrees.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Wet your hands and a dessert spoon in water and form a ball the size of a walnut. Cover the bottom of the baking sheet with parchment and place the balls at a distance of about 2 cm from each other. Place in an oven preheated to 190°C and bake for about 15 minutes. It took me 13 minutes. It may take you a little more or less time, use your oven as a guide. Read more about this in the article at the link at the end of the recipe. Bake until lightly browned.

For tea I made oatmeal cookies with kefir, replaced the butter with margarine, and instead of cranberries and nuts I put dried cherries. When forming the cookies, roll the dough balls in flour. After baking, the dried cherries turned out soft, juicy, and slightly sour. Oatmeal cookies are delicious and tender.

Good recipe. An ideal snack for those watching their figure. Already prepared. The main rule for preparing cookies is to use in the recipe not instant flakes (especially do not take flakes with sugar, cream and various additives), but those that need to be cooked well and for a long time, for example, the old friend “Hercules”. Not only I liked it, but also the children. I actually changed the recipe by adding a banana. It turned out delicious. The main thing is fast and simple. You can't compare the benefits to store-bought ones. The recipe is already in my cookbook. It’s true what they say - everything ingenious is simple!
