Step-by-step preparation

Cooking timeCooking time: 30 mins
  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to quickly bake soft kefir cookies in the oven? Prepare your food. Remove kefir from the refrigerator 30 - 40 minutes before cooking. It should be at room temperature. Melt the butter in a convenient way and leave to cool on the table. I melted it in the microwave. Take premium quality wheat flour and sift it. Thanks to this, it will be saturated with oxygen, and the cookies will turn out more tender. Turn on the oven to preheat to 160-180 degrees.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pour the required amount of kefir into a deep bowl, add sugar, vanillin and salt and mix with a whisk until smooth. When preparing cookies, you can use a mixer or blender. If you choose the second, take a deep mixing bowl.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Break raw chicken eggs and add to kefir, stir with a whisk until the components are combined.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add soda and vinegar to the egg-kefir mixture (the soda needs to be quenched in vinegar by simply mixing it with it) and mix. You don’t have to add vinegar if your kefir is sour (soda will react with it). My kefir is almost neutral in taste, so I add vinegar. Take this point into account and adjust the recipe to suit you.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Pour the melted cooled butter into the dough and mix with a whisk.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Add sifted flour in parts and knead the dough. First stir it with a whisk, and then you can use a fork or spoon. The dough turns out thicker than for pancakes. Keep in mind that you may need more or less flour than I did - be prepared for this. Focus on the end result.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Cover a baking sheet with parchment or grease with vegetable oil. Use a spoon to place the dough onto a baking sheet in small lumps, leaving space between the cookies - during baking it will increase slightly in size. If the cookies spread, add more flour. Bake the cookies at 160-180 degrees for about 20 minutes. I baked at 180C. The exact time and temperature will depend on your oven. Raw dough is liquid, so it can be baked in cupcake tins

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

The finished cookies have a golden color. Remove it from the baking sheet and place it on a plate to cool, then sprinkle it with powdered sugar. Serve these cookies with tea or milk. Bon appetit!

The other day I wanted to have tea and cookies, but there were no cookies or anything sweet in the house, which was sad. But I always have lifesaver recipes in my bookmarks) Including this recipe for soft kefir cookies in the oven. The process is really quick, simple, and the result is a whole mountain of cookies. I used homemade yogurt instead of kefir. My butter was soft, not melted. I mixed all the ingredients according to the list and it turned out to be a fairly thick dough. It was possible to pipe it from a pastry bag, but I didn’t want to bother. I wanted to get the cookies as soon as possible) So I just put them out with a teaspoon. The cookies were baked for 20 minutes. When the first batch was baked, there was still a lot of dough left. I divided it into two parts, added lemon juice to one, and chopped dark chocolate to the other. And I baked all the other cookies in the same way. It turned out very much and varied! The cookies are really soft, all the way through. Even on the second day the cookies were just as soft. It looks like a cupcake, only in a mini version. Inside it is porous and airy. It’s convenient to spread butter or sour cream on such cookies, but I dipped them in honey. It turned out very tasty.

I’ve been making these cookies for a long time, I understand that this is an old recipe, they just made good step-by-step instructions for it. Old comments are not preserved. The cookies are very good, soft and flavorful. Simple and quick to prepare. I make half a batch on one baking sheet, replacing the baking soda with baking powder. This is how the cookies turn out. See the photo report)))

Tasty and simple. This is the second time I’ve made it, adding flour according to the recipe. At level 4, the electric stoves were well baked. That is, closer to the top. (In top and bottom mode). And the first time I added a little less flour and baked it halfway through for the third time. Then the bottom was almost burnt. And for the second time I put the soda directly into the kefir, that is, before mixing it with the rest of the products. Mixed well. And kefir extinguished it (increased in size).

Anna, hello! I want to bake these cookies, but I’m probably stuck on the most banal question of this recipe - how to measure salt into 0.15 grams? How much is this? A speck? Pinch? Maybe it needs 0.15 teaspoon, and not a gram? - otherwise it just doesn’t work out at all. Thank you in advance for your answer and clarification.

Excellent soft kefir cookies in the oven! It's easy and quick to prepare. Just what you need to bake something for tea after a working day. All ingredients are available. I didn’t use vinegar, because kefir was sour and it was enough to quench the soda. It turned out to be a very soft and tasty cookie. The children ate with pleasure! Thanks for the recipe!
