  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

For this recipe we will need the products that I indicated in the ingredients.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

First of all, set the oven to preheat at 180-200 degrees. If the oven is not heated well enough, the dough will not have time to set quickly, and the filling will sink to the very bottom of the charlotte. While the oven is heating up, let's make the dough. It is not easy to prepare, but very simple). Combine all the ingredients together in a deep bowl and beat thoroughly using a mixer. I think it wouldn’t hurt to add orange zest to the dough, so the charlotte will be even more flavorful.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

We peel the orange and cut it into small pieces.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Grease a baking dish with oil (fat, margarine) and pour half of the dough into it. Place the filling on top of it. I took 1 orange and a handful of cranberries. If there are no cranberries, then you can make charlotte with only oranges, but in this case it is better to take two pieces.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Pour the remaining dough over the filling and place the dough in the oven for half an hour. Everyone's oven is different, so focus on the golden color of the cake.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Leave the finished cake to cool briefly in the pan, then take it out and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

This is how it looks in cross-section; you must agree, it’s very beautiful.

    Bon appetit!

Charlotte is a frequent and favorite pie on our table and I make it in different ways, but I rarely experiment with the filling. This time I decided to move away from my favorite apples and made an orange charlotte with oranges in the oven. I added orange zest, vanillin and slaked soda with vinegar to the dough. I greased the mold with vegetable oil and sprinkled it with flour, poured out some dough, placed 2 sliced oranges on top (I did not add berries), poured the remaining dough on top and set to bake. The charlotte turned out soft, airy and very tasty! It went great with tea!

znlena, your charlotte is just a sight to behold! Indeed, charlotte dough is so versatile that you can add any seasonal fruits and berries! the most important thing is that it cooks very quickly, which comes in handy when you want something delicious but don’t want to bother
