Beetroot and herring salad Christmas

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

Cut the potatoes into small cubes.
STEP 2

Grate the beets on a coarse grater.
STEP 3

Finely chop the white and red onion.
STEP 4

Place the onions in different plates and pour boiling water over them for a few minutes. Then drain the water.
STEP 5

Peel the pear and remove seeds. Cut into small cubes and divide into two parts.
STEP 6

Cut the fillet into small cubes. Add lemon juice. Mix.
STEP 7

WHITE SALAD: Potatoes, herring, white onion, half a pear, sour cream, mayonnaise, white pepper, salt, mix and put in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
STEP 8

Place the rest of the pear, cranberries and sugar in a heavy-bottomed saucepan.
STEP 9

Cook the fruit over low heat until soft, 5 minutes.
STEP 10

RED SALAD: While the fruits are still hot, add beets, red onions, white pepper, salt, olive oil and mix everything. Place in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
STEP 11

Place on a plate in the form of diagonal stripes in a diamond pattern - alternate white and red salads.
STEP 12
