    STEP 1

How to make soy meat in the oven? First, prepare the necessary products. Instead of mayonnaise, you can use sour cream, or make homemade mayonnaise. You can take your favorite spices and seasonings. When adding soy sauce to a dish, it is worth considering that it has a fairly salty taste. Reduce the total amount of salt, otherwise you risk oversalting.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pre-soak the soy meat in cold water for 10-20 minutes.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Drain the water and lightly squeeze the soy meat, then add mayonnaise and soy sauce, mix everything well.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Wash and peel all the vegetables thoroughly, chop the onion into feathers, chop the garlic under a press, cut everything else into medium pieces.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

In a preheated frying pan with vegetable oil, first fry the carrots and onions.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Then add bell pepper and tomato, fry until half cooked.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place soy meat in soy sauce, fried vegetables and potatoes in a baking dish. Season with salt, add oregano and basil.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

    Mix everything well.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Cover the baking dish with foil and place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30 minutes.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Wash and dry the dill, chop finely with a knife.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Remove the foil and bake the dish for another 10-15 minutes. Serve the soy meat hot, sprinkled with chopped dill. Bon appetit!

Today my husband and I baked soy meat in the oven for dinner. I used to cook it often, but then I somehow forgot. But since I took out a bag of these “crackers”, I made a vegan treat. I haven’t baked “meat” in the oven yet, but it turns out that it’s also very tasty. Soy meat is pre-steamed with hot water; it swells quickly. Then I put it on a sieve and let the water drain. I took mushrooms and bell peppers from the freezer. I found garlic arrows in the freezer and added them at the same time. I mixed everything, seasoned it with vegetable oil, salt and soy sauce instead of teriyaki. The spices are paprika and curry. I baked it a little longer, for 20 minutes, stirring each time. We liked! Soy meat itself is quite neutral, so mushrooms, garlic and spices complement it well.

Thank you for the idea, I discovered a new product - soy meat. It turns out to be a very tasty and nutritious lean and vegetarian dish! An excellent recipe for those who prefer plant foods to animal foods. I replaced some of the vegetables with mushrooms, and it turned out great!
