Shawarma without meat

STEP 1
How to make shawarma without meat? Prepare your food. This quantity of products is designed for two large shawarmas, so you will need two large thin pita breads. You don't have to add potatoes, just leave the mushrooms. But they go very well together, so I cooked with potatoes. Wash and dry all vegetables and herbs.
STEP 2
Peel the potatoes and cut into thin strips.
STEP 3
Onions - in quarters of rings.
STEP 4
Gently rinse the mushrooms and place on a paper towel. Cut them into thin slices.
STEP 5
Heat vegetable oil for frying in a frying pan and add potatoes to it. Fry it over medium heat. Do not turn frequently to allow the slices to brown. At the same time, heat the oil in another frying pan and add the onion. Fry the onion until translucent, then add the mushrooms. Salt the potatoes and mushrooms, pepper, stir. Fry everything until cooked, potatoes for about 15 minutes, mushrooms for 5.
STEP 6
Prepare the sauce. Finely chop the dill.
STEP 7
Add it to sour cream, squeeze a peeled clove of garlic into it, add salt. Stir the sauce until smooth.
STEP 8
Cut the tomato into thin slices.

Cucumber - slices.
STEP 10
Tear the lettuce leaves with your hands. I took iceberg, you can use regular leaf cabbage, Chinese cabbage and white cabbage.
STEP 11
Assemble the shawarma. Place a sheet of pita bread with the short side facing you. Spread the sauce over the strip. Place chopped tomato and cucumber on it. Place mushrooms on top. Crumble Adyghe cheese onto them. Instead, you can safely take any other cheeses - both soft and hard.
STEP 12
Place lettuce pieces on top and fried potatoes on top.
STEP 13
Carefully roll the pita bread, tucking the edges, into a tight roll.
STEP 14
Fry the shawarma on a preheated grill pan on both sides until appetizing stripes form. Roll the second shawarma in the same way.
STEP 15
Serve shawarma to the table. Bon appetit!
