Rice fried in a pan with egg
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to fry rice in a frying pan with an egg? Prepare your food. For such a dish, it is better to use long-grain or brown rice; for vegetables, you can take a ready-made frozen mixture or those that you have on hand. Excellent: bell peppers, carrots and green peas.
STEP 2
Rinse the rice thoroughly, changing the water several times; it is better to remove excess starch from the rice, then it will not stick together during cooking. Place the washed rice in a saucepan, cover with clean cold water, and place on the stove.
STEP 3
Cook the rice over low heat until the liquid has completely evaporated. It is better to boil the rice in advance so that it is cold and slightly dried out.
STEP 4
Wash the carrots, peel and cut into small cubes. Wash the bell pepper, cut out the center with the seed pod, and also cut the pulp into cubes. If you are using frozen vegetables, use them without defrosting.
STEP 5
Peel the garlic cloves and cut into slices. Pour olive oil into a frying pan, fry the garlic in it until lightly browned, stirring with a spatula so that the garlic gives all its aroma and taste to the oil. Then remove the garlic from the oil; it is no longer needed. Place carrots, bell peppers and fresh green peas in the oil. Stir the vegetables and fry them until soft, 7 minutes over medium heat is enough, there is no need to keep the vegetables in the pan longer.
STEP 6
Beat a large chicken egg into the pan with vegetables, let it set, and then use a spatula to scramble it with the vegetables. Be sure to wash your eggs before using them, as even seemingly clean shells can harbor harmful bacteria. It is best to use food grade detergents and a brush.
STEP 7
Fry them together for a couple of minutes, stirring vigorously with a spatula.
STEP 8
Place cooled boiled rice in a frying pan with the vegetable mixture, add soy sauce, ground black pepper, salt, and curry to taste. Stir and keep the mixture on the fire for a few more minutes. Turn off the heat. There is no need to simmer the rice with vegetables for a long time - it should remain crumbly.
STEP 9
Divide the dish into bowls or plates and serve with chicken, meat or as a separate dish. Bon appetit!
