  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to fry pike perch in batter? Prepare all the necessary products. It is best to take the fish chilled. These can be pike perch steaks or pike perch fillets. If you have frozen fish, then you need to defrost it correctly: after freezing, place it in the refrigerator for 8 hours and only then completely defrost it at a higher temperature.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Rinse the fish well, remove any visible large bones and dry. Cut into medium sized pieces.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Wash the egg well - this must be done, because... eggshells contain a lot of bacteria. Beat the egg into a bowl, add a little salt and stir with a fork. If you wish, you can add some of your favorite fresh herbs to the egg: perhaps chopped dill or green onions, or maybe a chopped clove of garlic.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Sift the flour onto a separate plate. I advise you to always sift the flour - during this process it is saturated with oxygen and the batter will be more airy. Salt the flour and stir. Here you can add some dried seasonings to it: ground hot pepper or paprika, thyme or herbs de Provence. Speaking of flour, it can be regular wheat. But rice flour is also good for preparing fish dishes - the dish will turn out very origi

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Dredge each piece of fish well in the flour mixture.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Then dip well into the egg mixture.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

And roll in flour again on all sides.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. It can be any vegetable: from sunflower to olive. But if you are going to fry something, and even until it’s crispy, then the oil must be refined so as not to burn in the pan. Place the pieces of fish, fry over low heat for about 8-10 minutes. Do not make the heat too high - the batter will brown and the fish will remain raw.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Then carefully turn the fish pieces over and fry the other side for the same amount of time. You may need to cover the pan with a lid to ensure the fish is cooked through.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Serve the fish with rice, potatoes or with vegetables and vegetable salads. Bon appetit!

Pike perch in batter - both on holidays and on weekdays! Fried pike perch goes well with any side dish - both pasta and cereal. But it is especially ideal with vegetables - fresh, stewed, steamed or fried. Today I fried fish in a grill pan and fried vegetables for a side dish. This is an unforgettable taste! Thanks for the recipe!
