  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake manna with apples? Measure out the required ingredients using a 250 ml glass. Take the butter out in advance so that it softens at room temperature. Kefir should not be cold either. The number of apples depends on the diameter of the pie; you will need 3-5 medium fruits.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pour kefir over semolina and mix well. Leave for 1 hour for the cereal to swell.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Carefully separate the eggs into whites and yolks.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

In a convenient bowl, combine sugar, yolks and soft butter.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Mix everything with a whisk until smooth and sugar dissolves.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Add semolina soaked in kefir to the resulting mass and stir.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Beat the whites with salt first at minimum mixer speed until soft peaks form. Then increase the speed and beat until a thick, stable protein foam forms.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Add baking powder and vanillin to the dough, mix.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Using a spatula, fold the egg whites into the batter using gentle upward movements.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

The dough is liquid and fluffy due to the airiness of the whipped egg whites.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Wash the apples, dry them well, and remove seeds. If desired, the skin can also be cut off. Cut half the apples into slices or cubes.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Grease the mold with oil. Lay out the dough carefully. Scatter the sliced apples on top. During baking, the dough will rise noticeably and the apples will be inside the pie. Why not stir the apples into the dough right away? So as not to disturb the fluffy structure of the dough.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Bake the manna in an oven preheated to 180C for about 25 minutes. During this time, it is better not to open the oven so that the cake does not settle. When the surface of the pie has noticeably set and a visible crust appears, carefully remove the pan from the oven. Place the remaining sliced apples on the pie. Place the pan back in the oven.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Bake the manna until done, about 25 minutes more. I used a mold d=18 cm. You can take d=22 cm, then the cake will be smaller in height. Depending on this, the baking time will also be reduced. Let the finished pie cool and remove from the pan.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

    Bon appetit!

Today I prepared manna with kefir and apples. I kneaded the dough from the indicated ingredients. Instead of baking powder, I added slaked soda. The manna was baked in my oven longer than indicated by the author, but for my oven this is a normal story. The result was a tasty, tall and very aromatic manna. Everyone really liked him! With tea, just wonderful! Great recipe, thanks!

There are different mannas. I decided to try this recipe, with apples and without flour. The pie turned out quite tall, even though I baked it in a wide pan. After laying the manna on the surface, I sprinkled the apples with sugar, because... they turned out to be sour. The whole family liked the pie; they had a great time drinking tea with their favorite pastries. The mannik turned out not dry, the humidity was just right. Apples give a fresh and pleasant taste and aroma. Thank you for the recipe for delicious manna with apples!
