Layered apple pie made from homemade yeast-free dough

STEP 1
Dissolve sugar and salt in a glass of warm water. Remove the butter from the refrigerator and let it soften while you prepare the dough base.

Pour the mixture into a bowl, beat the egg into it. Shake it up. Add a tablespoon of vinegar (9%). Stir the mixture.
STEP 3
Pour sifted flour into this mixture in parts. And knead the dough. We look at the consistency of the dough.
STEP 4
The dough should be elastic and soft, not stick to your hands. If necessary, add a little flour. Roll the dough into a ball.
STEP 5
Divide the softened butter into four equal pieces. We also divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll out each piece of dough on a floured board into a thin rectangular layer about 3 mm thick. Spread it with butter, distributing it evenly over the dough with a spatula. For each piece of dough, a piece of butter.
STEP 6
We roll the dough onto a rolling pin greased with vegetable oil and cut it lengthwise, remove the rolling pin. And fold the dough crosswise again. Wrap the finished puff pastry in cling film and put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
STEP 7
Let's prepare the ingredients. The apple puff is simply incomparable from puff pastry. Preparing such a dough at home, of course, requires a lot of effort and time. And if you don’t want to bother with this dough, you can buy it ready-made in the store, which will greatly simplify the baking process. Or, if you have the time and desire, prepare the puff pastry in advance and freeze it in the freezer.
STEP 8
Roll out the puff pastry into a rectangular layer. You can make one large puff pastry from a piece of puff pastry, or several small ones if desired. It is better to take sweet varieties of apples, without sourness. If the apples are freshly harvested and their skin is thin and tender, then it is not necessary to peel them, just remove the core and seeds. We grate apples and use them fresh in baking, without preliminary heat treatment, then more vitamins will be preserved.
STEP 9
Lightly squeeze the juice out of the grated apples, if the apples are very juicy, so that the dough does not become wet. Place grated apples on one half of the dough and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. On the other half, we make transverse cuts in the middle, not reaching the edges of the dough. Cover the filling with the second part of the dough and carefully pinch the edges.
STEP 10
Beat the chicken egg until smooth and foam appears on the surface. Brush the puff pastry with beaten chicken egg. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake the puff pastry for about 15 minutes. When the puff pastry is browned, remove it from the oven and serve. These pastries are delicious with tea, coffee and cocoa. It is not very high in calories thanks to cinnamon and apples, so even those who watch their figure can afford it. Bon appetit!
